Compared to last week alfalfa and grass hay sold fully steady. Ground and delivered hay 5.00 higher. Dehy alfalfa pellets sold steady. Demand was better this week in most areas of the state. Some producers are selling hay right out of the field.  As top quality hay is moving upward in price buyers are staring to purchase other types of ground hay. This is the first week that ground cane and mix cane hay has been reported in a long time. All contacts noted they are receiving a lot of calls this week but not a lot of sales. Spotty rain showers across the state along with unseasonal temperatures. Most producers are on third cutting of alfalfa and grass hay producers continue to bale hay. All sales are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay barn, unless otherwise noted.
