Compared to last week alfalfa and grass unevenly steady. Ground and delivered forages and Dehy alfalfa pellets sold steady. Demand moderate
to good. Some producers stated that the market feels like it is leveling off or a tick lower this week in some areas. Still quite a lot of old crop hay in most areas of the state. Some buyers are purchasing year old hay to save on output cost. Rain continues in some areas of the state and “after grass” is growing with many ranchers hoping to turn cattle on the meadows to utilize this great regrowth forage. Also, recent rains have help make a crop of cane and millet hay. Unseasonal cooler temps have prevailed most of the week.  All sales are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay barn, unless otherwise noted.
