Compared to last week alfalfa, grass hay, ground and delivered hay sold steady with dehy pellets trading mostly steady to 5.00 higher.  Wide variety of demand across the state this week ranging from light to good. There is still a lot of forages to be sold this fall and a lot of “off” forages to be baled after soybean and corn is combined. Earlier in the summer it appeared that there was going to be a shortage of hay in the state but with sporadic rains this summer most farmers/ranchers are getting some kind of forage baled and stored for future use.  All sales are dollars per ton FOB the field or hay barn, unless otherwise noted.
